Bill and Christal’s family was so much fun to hang out with. We were really fortunate to catch some awesome weather for this time of year.

Isn’t this little lady just adorable?!? She was such a doll baby the whole time we got to hang out together. Can you believe her amazing blue eyes? Sophie’s birthday party is coming up in a few weeks and she needed some cute shots for her invites! I’ve been told that Sophie and this guy have to get married one day so we’ll see! If they ever do then I’m sure their kids will have the bluest eyes possible!

Aren’t they such a cute family?

Isn’t this little guy a total stud? Mom and dad are going to have problems when he’s older with that killer smile and blue eyes!!

Don’t you love these shoes? Any shoes that say a kiddo loves their mommy ROCK!

I love baby toes!!

Check out these adorable pooches I got to hang out with. You might remember them from here and here. Riley is now huge compared to last time I saw him. He’s practically bigger than me now!! I absolutely love how much energy both of these dogs have. Just don’t get between them and their stick!!

Isn’t this little girl adorable? She was absolutely perfect the entire time! (Sorry Jada’s mom it took me so long to get these up)

Isn’t this guy one proud Daddy?

If you remember from back here we’ve seen these gorgeous kids before. Isn’t it amazing how much they’ve grown up in just a year?

I had a great time with Bob, Melody and their son Alec on Sunday, they were so much fun to hang out with!!

I love this shot of Alec!

My grandma is your stereotypical grandmother. She cooked, sewed, and quilted. She LOVED to sew and was always sewing something. Usually she had several different projects going at once. One Christmas she made all thirteen grandchildren quillows. I have no idea how long she spent sewing those things but I love mine.

Isn’t it amazing how books can instantly help you relive how you felt when you read them? I loved, loved, LOVED reading The New Junior Classics set when I was on the farm. My grandparents had a huge library of books. When you were in the middle of nowhere Kansas there wasn’t much to do as a child except read, read, read and although there were a ton of books there weren’t a lot that appealed to a child except for these. I remember pouring over every page and soaking in these stories. I won this set in the auction and I was so glad to get them. I can’t wait to start reading these to my daughter soon.

I loved the Little Golden Books, they were some of my favorite stories growing up.

A couple weeks ago I headed down to Wichita for an auction. This was not just any auction – I mean who drives 3 hours just to buy someone else’s stuff? Not me!
My grandfather passed away earlier this year and my grandmother was getting rid of a lifetime’s accumulation of fabric, tools, books and gadgets. My grandparents have always been the type to keep EVERYTHING. After all you never know when you might that insert random object here when you’re on the farm. Grandma’s house always meant candy, games of connect four, having more than one kind of cereal to choose between (hey it was a big thing for me as a kid!), and smelling grandma’s dippity do hair gel. This was the first time I had been to the farm in years and more than likely the last time. I kept thinking how my own child would never know all the rooms we would romp around in or ‘helping’ grandpa with the latest chick that had hatched that summer.

My grandmother collected salt and pepper shakers for as long as I could remember. She had a ton of them.

I told you she had a ton of them
