What do You Call This?
October 6, 2008You’re taking a picture of what?
October 5, 2008I just got back from a trip this weekend (more on the trip later). If you take as many pictures as I do you’ll inevitably get used to the popular “What are you taking a picture of?” questions by those around you. My wonderful husband has gotten used to this quirky habit and doesn’t usually complain (unless it’s of him) although our friends who joined us on this trip didn’t have the appropriate warning. Yes I’m that girl that’s constantly shooting ANYTHING I find interesting around me. Yes I realize some think I have Chinese blood coursing through me.
I take pictures of a lot of of common things around me for several reasons:
1. Maybe I really love using my camera and will use any excuse?
2. Maybe I don’t always have a sunset, portrait, or gorgeous flower to shoot?
3. Maybe I find beauty in the everyday items that most would pass over?
4. Maybe my aforementioned husband HATES having his picture taken and I don’t have a slave munchkin – I can force my shooting on?
OK so now that we have that out of the way. I promise all of my future posts won’t be of some random item but this isn’t one of those posts.

October 4, 2008I’ll have plenty of pictures up soon, in fact I filled up my memory card from 8am until about 3pm yesterday.

I have a Dream
October 1, 2008OK so this isn’t going to be as moving as Martin Luther’s speech but my goal for October is to blog everyday this month. I’m digging into the good ‘ole picture archives for this one and I might be doing that a lot this month.

Stained Glass
April 29, 2008Who’d have thought I’d see stained glass in a Chinese restaurant? OK granted it doesn’t have a Saint on it so it’s probably not ‘real stained glass’ according to some but I thought it was very cool.
